This summer we have chosen the devotional Pilgrim: 25 Ways God’s Character Leads Us Onward by Ruth Chou Simmons for our summer book. The beautiful watercolored pages feel appropriate for this time of year to reflect and enjoy and receive.
You are invited to join us in reading through this devotional book and then coming together on Sunday, August 17th at 4:30 pm for a BBQ at the Barshaw home on Martha Lake close to the church.
You can purchase the book here on Amazon (currently discounted).
Please email me at jenifer@mc4s.org if you are interested in participating so I can send an invite out for the BBQ at the beginning of August.
Women's Hiking Group
Join us for a hike and a time of fun fellowship! Our heart is to create a place for women to not only build meaningful relationships with each other, but to also experience God’s creation in its fullness as He shares His love for us.
Each month’s hike and all the necessary information will be posted at least one week in advance so you can choose the hikes that are right for you. (Please note, currently these hikes require the ability to hike 1000 plus vertical feet with rocks, roots, and steps that may be steep or require the ability to climb over, or around.)

Women’s Discipleship | Mentor Ministry
Mentoring is God’s idea. In scripture, we see the call for mentoring to happen in the example of Elijah and Elisha and in Titus 2:3-5 where Paul exhorts the women, who are more mature in the Lord, to teach and encourage the younger. In these intentional relationships, a safe place is created to listen, ask questions, pray for, and love; always pointing to Jesus.
Mentoring is a relationship in which one person intentionally comes alongside another for the purpose of helping them flourish.
If you desire to have a mentor relationship and have had trouble finding someone on your own, we would like to help you make a connection. Mentors are not counselors or experts but rather followers of Jesus a little ahead of you on a similar path.
Contact Pastor Jenifer if you’d like to find a mentor.
