Wednesday night discipleship is back
As disciples, we are called by Jesus to share his gospel with others. While obeying his call seems simple in theory, we can often find it quite difficult in practice. Sometimes we don't feel prepared. Other times we might feel like we're not eloquent or quick enough to engage in theological sparring. Often, we're just nervous. We may feel the burden and desire, but we struggle to begin!
This winter, we will learn from Preston Perry and his new book, Everyday Evangelism. Together we will discover how to live a lifestyle of evangelism that is focused on pursuing hearts rather than winning arguments. With engaging videos, thought-provoking questions, and practical applications, we will learn how to be bold for Christ while engaging in our neighborhoods with our eyes fixed on heaven.
Our study will run from February 11 through March 25 (seven weeks). As is our practice, we will gather at 5:30 for dinner before breaking into groups. Childcare will be available for first grade and younger. Grades 2-5 will join the Kids Ministry for their own study of evangelism. Middle School and High School will meet in their own groups. Cost is $60 per adult (18+), $25 per middle school/high school student, $15 per 2nd-5th grader, and $10 per child in childcare. The cost covers course material (including books) and meals. We love growing in community and faith with one another, and events take volunteers! If you are unable to attend our Wednesday study, but would still like to participate as you're able, we have an opportunity for you! Whether you are able to come one time or several times, we invite you to join us or dinner and then serve our community in a meaningful and important way! There are lots of opportunities for helping out, so look at all the options and choose the one(s) that suits you best!
