Our Classes

As a Co-Operative Preschool Program, parents serve 1 day per week in the classroom as the teacher’s aides, assisting the children in daily activities as well as snack and bathroom breaks. Each class does offer a limited number of spaces which do not require weekly classroom participation (volunteer-free).

In our 4-Day Pre-K option, depending on space available, parents are scheduled in class one or two days per week.

Nursery:

We offer an on-site nursery during morning preschool hours for younger siblings. Parents who use the nursery will rotate serving in the nursery, on their regularly scheduled volunteer day. There is no additional charge for using the nursery, beyond serving in there as well as class on rotation.

Curriculum:

Each of our teachers structure their class a bit differently, based on the age of the students they are teaching and their own teaching styles, but many of the general aspects of our program are the same. These include circle time, art activities, sensory exploration, literacy and writing practice, classroom cooking projects, science experiments and math exploration. Our program utilizes the First Steps in Music for Preschool and Beyond and the Handwriting Without Tears curriculums with our students.

Family Chapel and Introductory Spanish

Our program runs a monthly rotation where the students spend time weekly in Family Chapel or with Señorita Stacey learning basic Spanish language skills.
